When You Feel Overwhelmed
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
Life can be overwhelming. I have been feeling quite overwhelmed myself lately. Sometimes, the responsibilities, worries, and pain build up so much that your heart feels heavy and your strength begins to fade. In those moments, Jesus’s gentle voice speaks into our exhaustion: “Come to me.”
He sees your tears, knows your struggles, and recognizes your tired heart. His promise isn’t just physical rest, it’s spiritual renewal, peace for your troubled soul. This divine invitation is for you today, to surrender your burdens and receive His love and rest.
When life’s demands seem too great, remember, you are not alone. Jesus is waiting to carry your burdens, to renew your strength, and to fill you with His peace. You don’t have to carry everything on your own.
I am resting in His promises and leaning in on my Lord for strength. He has NEVER let me down.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I lay my burdens at Your feet, trusting that You see my tears and know my struggles. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Renew my strength and revitalize my weary soul. Help me to trust You fully, knowing You are my refuge and rest. I receive Your love and grace anew today.
Thank You for inviting me into Your presence. Help me to lean on You always and find my strength in You alone. In Your powerful name, I pray. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
