Embedding God’s Word Deep in Our Hearts
"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." — Deuteronomy 6:6-7
God's Word is meant to be more than just a message we hear, it's a life-shaping foundation that we carry deep within us. Moses’s instruction was clear: God’s commandments are to be on our hearts, guiding every thought, word, and action.
For us, this means daily transforming our minds and hearts with His truth. It’s about making His Word a part of everything; our conversations, our routines, and our relationships. When we fill our hearts with God’s Word, it becomes the filter through which we see the world, the anchor in our storms, and the compass guiding our steps.
The purpose isn’t just personal growth, it’s multiplication. Moses instructs us to teach and talk about His Word “when you sit at home, walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.” Our lives should reflect His truth so vividly that it influences our children, our families, and everyone around us.
Intentionally share God’s Word. Speak it out loud. Share verses with your loved ones. Make His commands part of your daily conversation and your routine. As His Word dwells in you, your life will reflect God’s love to everyone around you.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your Word, truth that changes, restores, and guides. Help me to keep Your commandments on my heart, so that my life can be a reflection of Your love. Teach me to talk about Your Word in my everyday life, sharing Your truth with those around me. Fill me with Your Spirit so I may live by Your commands and influence others to know You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
