Growing in Grace and Knowledge

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” — 2 Peter 3:18

Growing in grace and knowledge isn’t a one-time event; it’s a lifelong journey, a continual process of becoming more like Jesus.

Growth in grace means embracing God’s unmerited favor, learning to extend forgiveness, patience, and love, just as Christ has shown us. It’s about overflow that touches every part of our lives and relationships.

Growing in knowledge means deepening our understanding of Jesus: His Word, His character, His mission. It’s studying Scripture, seeking His wisdom, and allowing His truth to shape our hearts and minds.

But more than growth itself, this verse points us toward worship, “to Him be glory both now and forever!” Our daily pursuit of growth isn't just for our benefit; it's all about giving glory to Jesus, who transforms us from the inside out.

I encourage you to commit to growing, whether through prayer, studying His Word, or practicing love and humility. Let your life be a reflection of His grace, and may all praise belong to Him, forever and ever.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for calling me to grow in Your grace and knowledge. Help me to pursue You daily, to become more like You in my words and actions. May everything I do bring glory to Your name now and forever. Fill me with Your Spirit to walk this journey faithfully. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
