Living Out Our Faith Through Love

"That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." — Philemon 1:6

Your faith is most powerful when it is active, when you openly acknowledge the good things God has placed within you in Christ. Philemon 1:6 emphasizes that true faith impacts others when it’s expressed through love and gratitude, recognizing every good gift God has given.

Faith isn’t just belief; it’s a dynamic force that grows stronger as we acknowledge and confess the blessings Christ living in us produces. When we recognize His goodness flowing through us, His love, grace, and mercy, we release a watchfulness and gratitude that make our faith effective.

Ask yourself today: “Am I acknowledging the good things in me through Christ? Am I allowing His love to flow through my words, actions, and attitudes?” True faith becomes effectual when it’s rooted in thankfulness and expressed in love, drawing others into His grace.

Thank God for what He has placed within you, your talents, your capacity to love, your ability to forgive. Declare aloud: “In Christ, I have good things; faith, love, and hope, that can impact others for His glory.” Look for opportunities to live out what you acknowledge, acts of kindness, forgiveness, or sharing hope.

Your faith, when expressed through love and gratitude, is effectual; powerful enough to influence lives and bring God’s kingdom into moments of everyday life. Recognize the good in you, and let it flow freely to others, shining His love everywhere.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for the good things You’ve placed in me through Christ. Help me to acknowledge Your works within me and to let my faith be active through love. Use my life today as a testimony of Your goodness, drawing others to Your grace and truth. Make my faith effectual by Your Spirit working in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
