Finding Peace in God's Presence
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
I purposefully pause to reflect on the simplicity of these words. In the rush of life, so many demands, worries, and distractions, God gently beckons us to stop, to be still, and to recognize His sovereignty.
In this stillness, I find space to breathe, to listen, and to remember that God is in control. It’s in the quiet moments that my heart can truly begin to trust Him more deeply. Because when I pause and acknowledge His greatness, anxiety begins to fade, and faith rises.
Being still isn’t just about physical silence, it’s about surrendering my thoughts, fears, and plans and trusting that God’s plans are unfolding perfectly. It’s about knowing, deep within my spirit, that He is God over all, and His presence is enough for today.
So, whatever circumstances I face, I choose to be still, trusting in His power, His love, and His eternal sovereignty. I embrace the peace that comes from knowing that no matter how loud life gets, God's voice remains true.
Prayer:
Lord, in the busyness of life, help me to carve out moments of stillness to know You more. Silence my worries, open my heart to Your peace, and remind me that You are God over all. Teach me to trust You completely and to rest in Your presence each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
