Confidence in His Promise
"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." — 1 John 5:13-14
It’s so easy to doubt, to question whether our prayers are heard, or if we’re truly standing on the promises of Christ. But these words from John give us an assurance: We can know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that we have eternal life through Jesus.
When we pray aligned with His will, we have confidence that our prayers are heard and that He abides with us. His love and His promises are accessible every day, not just in moments of need, but in every breath we take.
Your faith is not a guessing game but a confident trust rooted in God's unchanging character. When doubts come, remember, you are loved, saved, and heard. Your relationship with God is secure because of His faithfulness, not your perfection.
When you lift your voice to God, believe that He is actively working on your behalf. Trust that your prayers, in accordance with His will, will be answered, sometimes in ways you expect, sometimes beyond what you can imagine.
You are a beloved child of God, fully known and fully accepted. Rest in His confidence, and approach Him with assurance, knowing that through faith in Jesus, you are eternally His.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that I can know beyond doubt that I have eternal life in Jesus Christ. Help me to approach You with confidence, trusting that You hear every prayer, every need, and every cry. Strengthen my faith today to walk boldly, knowing I am loved, accepted, and heard by You. Thank You for the assurance that no matter what I face, I belong to You forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
