Trusting in the Goodness of God’s Promise
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." — Psalm 27:13
Even in times of fear, doubt, or hardship, you can remain confident that you will see the goodness of the Lord. Sometimes, life’s storms cloud our vision, and we wonder if we will ever experience His faithfulness. But in the psalmist’s words, we find a powerful declaration of hope, trusting that God’s goodness is not distant, but present, active, and unfolding right now.
The confidence expressed here is rooted not in circumstances but in faith. It’s a firm assurance that God’s goodness is overflowing, available to us today, in this moment. His promises do not fade, and His mercy endures forever (Lamentations 3:22-23). We may not see it immediately, but His goodness is breaking through in ways we may not yet perceive.
When doubts arise or when the present seems dark, choose to look beyond the storm and trust that the Lord's goodness is present in your land of the living. Trust that your eyes will see His faithfulness, whether through a breakthrough, His peace in the chaos, or His love poured out through those around you.
Today, declare: “I will see the goodness of the Lord today. I trust in His promises, and I believe His love is working in my life, even now.” Keep your eyes open to see His goodness, every blessing, every act of kindness, every moment of peace.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that Your goodness is overflowing in my life. Help me to trust and remain confident, even when I cannot see it clearly. Open my eyes to Your presence and Your blessings, and remind me that You are constantly working for my good. Strengthen my faith to believe that I will see Your goodness today and every day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
