His Listening Heart
His Listening Heart
“But God has surely listened and has heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me.” — Psalm 66:19-20
No matter how faint or broken our voice feels, He hears us; every word, every whisper, every silent plea. And in those moments, He is actively working on our behalf and for the good of His kingdom.
There’s comfort in knowing that I don’t have to shout loudly or perform perfectly to get God's attention. Psalm 34:4 echoes this truth: “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” When I seek Him sincerely, He responds, sometimes gently, sometimes powerfully, but always faithfully.
When I seek Him with all my heart, I find His peace and deliverance. His love is unwavering, His ears are open to my prayer, and His compassion never fails.
Prayer isn’t just about asking; it’s about trusting that the God who listens is also the God who cares deeply. He is both the Savior and the provider for our every need, all because His love for us is eternal.
Yesterday, a long-term prayer from my heart was answered and God really showed up, as he has countless times before. This time it was a healing moment for a relationship with a dear friend. I dedicate this devotional to her. You know who you are and I love you. Thank you, Father, for your healing, merciful, faithful presence in my life and in hers.
Today, I encourage you:
- Bring your full heart before God. Pour out your fears, share your hopes, and speak your needs.
- Believe that He hears you and that His love will never withhold, no matter how long you wait or how small your voice.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for listening patiently and loving unconditionally. Help me approach You with honesty and trust, knowing You hear my every prayer. Thank You for delivering me from all my fears and for Your faithful love. I rest in Your Presence today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
