Day 3 Standing Firm on the Authority of Scripture
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” - 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (KJV)
When believers experience church hurt, one of the greatest temptations is to question everything, including the truth of God’s Word.
But human failure does not invalidate divine truth.
If leaders misapply scripture or fail to live according to it, the solution is not to abandon the Bible. The solution is to return to it more faithfully.
The authority of Scripture does not depend on the integrity of those who teach it. It rests on the inspiration of God Himself.
In seasons of disappointment, Scripture becomes an anchor. It reminds us of who God truly is, apart from human distortions.
When everything around us feels unstable, God’s Word remains firm.
Standing on Scripture means allowing God’s truth, not our experiences, to shape our understanding of faith.
Commit yourself to studying Scripture personally. Do not rely solely on others to interpret God’s Word for you.
Prayer:
Father, help me anchor my faith in Your Word rather than in human personalities or institutions. Teach me to love Scripture deeply and to seek Your truth with humility. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
