Trusting God and Not Fearing
"But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be afraid." — 1 Peter 3:14
I want to encourage you in moments when fear tries to grip you, especially for doing what is right. 1 Peter 3:14 affirms that even when standing for truth and righteousness invites opposition or suffering, you are blessed.
Fear is a natural response when facing trials, rejection, or persecution. But God’s Word is clear: do not fear. His love and presence conquer every threat, every hostile word, and every ounce of danger. You are blessed, not because hardship isn't real, but because His Spirit strengthens you to stand firm.
Fear cripples, but faith empowers. When you choose to trust in His love and His promises, you walk boldly, knowing His protection is greater than any threat. His favor is with you when you stand for righteousness, and your perseverance will reflect His glory.
Say: “I will not fear or be afraid, because God’s blessing is on me and His Spirit is with me.” When doubts or fears try to whisper otherwise, trust His Word, He is your shield, your refuge, and your strength.
Pause and pray: “Lord, I trust in Your power and love. Help me to stand in faith, not in fear, even when challenges come. Fill me with Your courage and guard my heart from anxiety.”
God’s blessing and power are greater than any threat. Walking in faith is the testimony of trust, and His Spirit sustains you through every challenge.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that even in the face of opposition, I am blessed when I stand for what is right. Help me to set aside fear and trust fully in Your protection and love. Fill my heart with courage today, and guide me to walk boldly in Your truth, knowing You are with me and my blessings are secure in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
