The Indwelling Presence
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” - 1 Corinthians 6:19
This question from Paul is both corrective and transformative. The Holy Spirit indwells with us. This means that the presence of God is not confined to a building, a moment of worship, or a Sunday gathering. He resides within you.
To grasp this truth is to radically shift how we live. Every thought, every action, every hidden moment is lived before God, not as a distant observer, but as an indwelling presence. Spirit-saturation begins with awareness. When we forget that we carry His presence, we drift into casual sin, careless speech, and spiritual apathy. But when we remember, reverence awakens.
This indwelling is also deeply comforting. You are never alone. In moments of sorrow, confusion, or weakness, the Spirit remains. He is not repelled by your struggles; He is present to sustain you through them.
To live saturated in the Spirit is to live consciously before Him, honoring Him not out of fear, but out of love. You are His dwelling place. Let that truth shape your day.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, awaken my heart to Your presence within me. Help me to live with reverence, humility, and gratitude, knowing You dwell in me. Let my life be a holy place for You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
