For Such a Time as This
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14
This verse is a pivotal moment for Esther: her realization that she was placed in her position for a purpose greater than herself. The words she spoke to Mordecai resonate deeply: perhaps all of her circumstances, even the risks, were part of God’s divine plan to save His people.
Often, I wonder what my purpose is, or I question whether I’m in the right place at the right time. But Esther reminds me that God’s ways are sovereign. The circumstances we endure, and the opportunities we face, are often part of His divine appointment, designed for us to step into His purpose for the world.
I am not here by accident. God has strategically placed me, with gifts, experiences, and opportunities, for “such a time as this”. It’s a call to trust that He is working behind the scenes, even when I don’t see it, to fulfill His divine plan through my life.
I invite you to consider: Are you aware of the divine appointments in your life? Will you step forward with faith and courage, knowing that God has a purpose for your presence, your influence, and your obedience?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the divine purpose You have for my life. Help me to trust in Your sovereignty and to be aware of the opportunities to serve, speak, and act for Your glory. Give me the courage to step into the purpose You’ve prepared for me, because I know that I was made for such a time as this. Use my life to advance Your kingdom and to be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
